Seasonal Crafts We Love: Winter Edition

By the end of this blog, you will have learned how to make a Christmas stocking, a Christmas tree, and a star!

Materials needed:

• 1 sheet of 1x1 paper (RED)

• 1 sheet of 1x1 paper (GREEN)

• 2 sheets of 1x1 paper (YELLOW)

Christmas Tree

Step 1:

Prepare a sheet of 1×1 green paper and position it like a diamond.

Step 2:

Fold in half (right to left).

Step 3:

Unfold previous step.

Step 4:

Fold the right side up to the center line.

Step 5:

Repeat on the other side.

Step 6:

Turn the paper upside down.

Step 7:

Fold the bottom point up to the flat edge.

Step 8:

Fold the right side to the center line.

Step 9:

Repeat on the other side.

Step 10:

Fold in half (up).

Step 11:

Unfold, then fold again slightly higher than last time.

Step 12:

Turn paper to the other side.

Step 13:

Decorate and done!

Star

Step 1:

Prepare a sheet of 1×1 yellow paper and position it like a diamond.

Step 2:

Fold in half (right to left).

Step 3:

Take the top flap and fold it to the right edge.

Step 4:

Turn paper to the other side.

Step 5:

Fold in half (up).

Step 6:

Take the left corner and line it up with the opposite edge.

Step 7:

Unfold previous step.

Step 8:

Unfold the bottom left flap to get a shape like this.

Step 9:

Prepare another sheet of 1×1 yellow paper and position it like a diamond.

Step 10:

Fold in half (up).

Step 11:

Fold in half (right to left).

Step 12:

Rotate paper.

Step 13:

Fold the bottom point up slightly.

Step 14:

Place the triangle inside of the previously folded paper.

Step 15:

Position the two papers to fit like a star and done!

Christmas Stocking

Step 1:

Prepare a sheet of 1×1 red paper.

Step 2:

Fold the top down (~1 inch).

Step 3:

Turn paper to the other side.

Step 4:

Fold paper in half (left to right), then unfold.

Step 5:

Fold the right side to the center line.

Step 6:

Repeat on the other side.

Step 7:

Turn paper to the other side.

Step 8:

Fold in half (bottom to top).

Step 9:

Take the top left flap and line it up with the bottom edge.

Step 10:

Unfold previous step.

Step 11:

Repeat step 9 to the other side.

Step 12:

Unfold previous step.

Step 13:

Bring both flaps to the center like so.

Step 14:

Place the paper to stand up like so.

Step 15:

Fold the figure in half to get an L shape.

Step 16:

Fold the corner as shown in the picture.

Step 17:

Place the figure to stand again.

Step 18:

Take the folded corner and tuck it in between the two flaps to stay hidden.

Step 19:

Repeat to the bottom corner and done!
