Team Member Spotlight of the Month: Elizabeth

This month, we’re excited to spotlight Elizabeth, our Outreach Coordinator! Elizabeth, with her bubbly personality, has a way of making everyone around her feel comfortable, bringing energy and kindness to every workshop she attends.

When asked about her favorite part of being in Piece with Ease, she said, “my favorite part of being in Piece with Ease is interacting with seniors and getting to know them better.”

Elizabeth loves sitting down and hearing the stories seniors share—especially the ones about their childhood.

“I love fostering a stronger connection with seniors and listening to their stories, such as those from their childhood,” she highlighted.

One workshop really demonstrated how special that is. At our workshop in Fort Lee, while most of us were moving around the room, helping out different tables, Elizabeth did something we had never expected to see: she pulled up a chair at one of the tables and joined the seniors in their conversation. She blended right in at that table–instead of acting like an unacquainted person, she led the conversation confidently, making the atmosphere enjoyable for everyone. Soon, the whole table was bustling with chatter and laughter, as each senior shared stories about their families or about their past.

At the same time, she also made sure to provide some seniors with extra attention or one-on-one assistance if she felt that they may need some help. Watching this unfold in real time, I found it to be such a wholesome moment, and it showed me once again how much of a warm person Elizabeth is.

Beyond Piece with Ease, Elizabeth is super involved. She’s a big team player: as section leader of her school’s marching band and captain of the golf team, she’s well versed in the field of leadership. Additionally, she spends a lot of her time volunteering. Whether it’s teaching little kids at Korean school on the weekends or spending time with patients at a local hospital, Elizabeth is always looking for ways to help. In the future, she hopes to study childhood education so she can keep making a difference in people’s lives.

Elizabeth’s cheerfulness, teamwork, and dedication make her such an important part of our Piece with Ease family. We’re so thankful for everything she brings to the team!
