Team Member Spotlight of the Month: Jennie

This month, we’re thrilled to feature Jennie, our Project Manager at Piece with Ease! Jennie is someone who brings both patience and creativity into everything she does. 

When asked about her favorite part of being in Piece With Ease, Jennie shared:

“My favorite part is seeing the seniors light up when they finally fold a piece correctly. I love seeing them genuinely enjoy making origami, and it’s very rewarding to know that something as simple as origami can support them in many ways while also giving them joy.”

That same joy is something that Jennie brings out in our seniors every time she attends a workshop. During a recent workshop in Leonia, she spent much of her time assisting a woman living with aphasia. Although the woman’s speech was difficult to interpret, Jennie patiently stayed by her side, guiding the woman through the origami lesson step-by-step. Jennie’s calm and encouraging attitude made the activity accessible and fun. That day, Jennie showed all of us just how much she cares about the seniors. While at first the woman showed frustration at the tedious folding steps, by the end of the workshop, her frown was turned upside down! It was all thanks to Jennie. 

Jennie’s kindness goes far beyond Piece with Ease. In her free time, she loves exploring different crafts and practicing nail art—another way she expresses her creativity. Since middle school, she has been dedicating many hours to volunteer work, whether it be alongside little kids at a Korean school, or next to patients at a local hospital. With dreams of becoming a nurse in the future, Jennie is already embodying the qualities that will make for an outstanding caregiver. 

Through acts such as offering patience, sharing a smile, and even just being present, Jennie reminds us that sometimes the simplest things can have the greatest impact. We’re so thankful for her kindness, compassion, and support. Thank you, Jennie, for being such a vital part of our team here at Piece with Ease!
